Ariel’s surname came from a Hawaiian source, George Duroy says, as he was exotic enough in his looks for this kind of name. “Ariel” comes from George’s very first model, also named Ariel, and his first cover shoot for “Freshmen” magazine in the U.S. fifteen years ago (1994). He was very similar to the current Ariel, who has become very popular on the Bel Ami website. He is Czech, very bisexual and likes to bottom. “That’s what he likes about the gay part of his personality,” George says, “even though he can do both, top and bottom.” He is one of the boys who enjoys shooting and also helping us prepare new models as a “trainer.” Ariel has a very sweet and mellow personality, very cuddly. His mother became concerned about why he was coming to our offices all the time. So Luke Hamill went to visit with her and explain about what her son was doing. “She is okay with it, one of many mothers who know by now,” George laughs. “Right now he is working as a full-time model for Bel Ami and we are planning to do much more with him.”

Kevin is an 'Oliver Twist' story combined with 'Alice in Wonderland.' In twenty years of working with boys, G. Duroy says he has never seen such a thorough change in personality as Kevin`s two-year transformation (as of 2010). He really blossomed; every experience was new. Kevin comes from a difficult family background and has essentially been on his own since the age of 14 or 15, supporting himself as he finished school. (The neck tattoo is an expression of his tough life experiences.) His first name 'Kevin' comes from the Macauley Culkin character in 'Home Alone.' George feels that is probably how our Kevin would have handled a similar situation. There is a bit of impishness in him, a lot of caring and a good sense of humor. He is also the least egotistical of all the Bel Ami boys. Sexually, Kevin was tentative and shy in the beginning. But following his trips to Africa in 2010, you could perceive a major change in him in all sorts of ways. We have learned that he is a little bit dirty, sexually, but it comes from a place of innocent, pure exploration. This is a rare quality. George feels he has the qualities of a young Johan Paulik and will become a first-rate trainer in the future.

When Jean-Daniel first arrived in our offices, George Duroy asked him about shooting full sex scenes. 'He was very straightforward. He told me that he was not opposed to shooting and that he was in bad need of the money, because he had a fairly high debt,' George recalls. 'But he wouldn`t go ahead without asking his folks at home about it because he didn`t want to lie to them. And so he did.' Two weeks later, he called and confirmed that he had been given the go-ahead. 'I could hear him blushing through the telephone.'

That was in April of 2009. Since then he has participated in a couple of fashion shoots in Paris as well as photo sessions with Greg Gorman, Howard Roffman, Marty Stevens and George himself, all of whom expressed pleasure at working with Jean-Daniel. He has also made several extended trips to Cape Town, South Africa, which exposed him to new cultures and broadened his worldview.

Jean-Daniel now has a number of episodes under his belt for Bel Ami and gets better every time. 'It is interesting to see how happy he is coming here and working, discovering a whole new world,' George says. The trip to Paris was his first plane trip; sharing a room with Luke Hamill, his first anal penetration. A trip to Budapest brought his first drag show experience. 'All of it he loved immensely, feeling a bit like Alice in Wonderland' recalls George. 'For me it was great fun to see him savoring it.'

By now Jean-Daniel`s debts have been paid off and luckily for us, he has indicated no interest to quit and return to his previous life in an industrial neighborhood. George considers meeting Jean-Daniel 'love at first sight' and believes he is becoming a first-class model. He is already one of the most popular boys among our online customers. 'Jean-Daniel appeals to the twink lovers because he is quite youthful,' George says. 'But with that incredible body, he appeals to muscle lovers at the same time. And he is also quite tender and sensual. These are rare qualities to find in one package.'
